This greenstone necklace is a beautiful piece of Māori jewellery. Carved from genuine Nephrite Jade. Makes a wonderful Kiwiana gift or NZ souvenir. This Māori necklace is strung on a braided traditional black wax cord. The height that the pendant hangs at can be adjusted using the sliding knots. Each carving is supplied in a jewellery box with an explanation of the carving's meaning. As each piece is individually carved slight variations can occur.
The Hook shape is good for catching good fortune and for safe travel over water.
